WE ARE HTC YOUTH

We aim to seek God's:

  • HONOR in our worship, which includes our voices, actions and attitudes.
  • TRUTH as we believe His Word is the source of all wisdom, encouragement and inspiration.
  • COMMUNITY by living in fellowship with each other, yet being a lighthouse to the world that doesn't know Him, anchored in our Savior.

Student Leadership Committee

HTC Youth believes in the potential of students in taking their place in making a difference in their own youth group, which in turn make a difference in their church and their community!

The Student Leadership Committee (aka SLC) functions similar to a local school's ASB or Associated Student Body where there are sub-committees or departments and through them, elevate HTC Youth to a level of leadership and involvement.  The three sub-committees are:

The Welcoming Committee
Members here should have a heart for every student, as students can sometimes feel anxious, unwelcome or lonely. The Welcoming Committee ensures that HTC Youth remains to be a welcoming environment for regular and new students alike!

The Worship Committee
Here, the desire is for every student to hear the voice of God and feel his presence. Members must be a member of the Youth Band or A/V (Audio Visual) Team or both. (Note: A member of the band or A/V team need not be in the committee). The goals for this team is to ensure every week, we will have an amazing time worshipping our Lord.

The Workshops Committee
This Committee is focused on learning and growing. Students here help organize workshops on every skill and discipline they believe students want to grow in. Whether its preaching, prayer, fasting, or giving, its working with Youth Leaders to ensure that the students have representation in what they are eager and needing to learn.

RISE is our annual High School winter mission and it is going strong at year three. Previously sent to Texas then Colorado, this year in 2021, HTC Youth brought 9 HS Students on mission to Hume Lake Christian Camps.  Students on the Preaching track— Julianna, Sidney, Jedidiah and Mariah — prepared messages and preached to our group over the course of the trip. Leadership track has one student, Emily, who helped plan and prepare the schedule, purchase and cook food, and set up our service projects. Finally, on the Worship Track—Linda, Natalie, Ruben and Gilby, lead us in worship thought the week. Thank you to Pastor Jamie, Charlie, Ellie and Brandon who oversaw the students in serving the camp grounds and trained them in their various tracks.

HOST A MISSIONARY FOR A YEAR

Harbor Trinity for many years has partnered with the Pais Movement, an international organization that recruits young adults from all over the world to live and serve with local churches to be the relational bridge between the church and the school.

Over the years, HTC has welcomed missionaries form Germany, Brazil and the UK and they have been an amazing impact in our community. From our youth and young adult ministries, setting up Bible Clubs, and being a resource to many church events!

Would you consider opening your home to a young man or woman for the school year (August 2021 - July 2022)?
