HTC WORSHIP

IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH

As David stared up into an infinite starlit sky, he could not help but take notice of the vastness of God's creative capabilities, only then to contrast it to the finite size of humanity (Psalm 8:4). This moved David to respond in one positive way - worship (Psalm 8:1,9).

In the same way, we aim to lift up the Name of Jesus as we recognize our position before an eternal God (Psalm 115:1). Worship should cause us to reflect on the majesty and graciousness of God, contrasted to our own unworthiness. Like David, when we see God for Who He is, we can’t help but respond - both individually and corporately - with worship.

Worship encompasses the life and devotion of the Christ follower. At Harbor Trinity Church, we worship God in a variety of ways - through Scripture, prayer, service, fellowship, communion, tithes, and in song. We recognize that our worship is for God and God alone. God is the focus. God is the consumer. God is the audience. Even though one's expression of worship might differ from another, the heart of worship and Whom we worship is central here at HTC.

“I can safely say, on the authority of all that is revealed in the Word of God, that any man or woman on this earth who is bored and turned off by worship is not ready for heaven.”

- A.W. Tozer
