HTCYOUTH

Our chief aim

Our youth ministry aims to create a safe environment where students (both Jr High & High School) can come as they are and encounter a radical God, while having a blast at the same time. We strive to develop authentic followers of Christ who are committed to GROWING in their relationship with God, SERVING globally and locally, CONNECTING with other students, and devoted to a lifestyle of WORSHIPPING Jesus.

Spring Break Mission: WITNESS 2018

What a way to spend our Spring Break this 2018! Last April 16-18, our students from 7th to 12th grade went around our city of Costa Mesa to serve our neighbours! From our very own families in our church family in need, our local pre-school and the nearby senior home, we spend the days serving others! We also has an awesome time of worship, fellowship, games (the Amazing Race around the city was the best!) and learning from our pastor the vision of being a missionary in our own city! Check out this video below!

WHEN WE MEET

THE LIGHTHOUSE (High School)

Wednesday Nights/ 6:30-8:30pm/ Youth Room

On Wednesday nights, we strive to connect to God through worship and the Word and to each other through various activities like small groups and games. Occasionally, we do things with our Jr. High Ministry together, and strive to make Wednesday nights a highlight for students weeks! We want this  to be a space where high school students can be have a refuge in the crazy weeks of school, and return to the week refreshed to be the lighthouse in every where they go.

ANCHORED (Jr. High)

Wednesday Nights/ 6:30-8:30pm/ Jr. High Room

Here, we care most about connecting with students, building lasting relationships, and leading them to Jesus Christ! We do this by creating a safe space for students to bond, play an occasional game, gather for worship and a relevant message from the Bible, and then break into small groups! This allows students to interact on a deeper plane with the Word and topic from the nights message, to encourage our students to be anchored in Him.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Sundays*/ 10:30am/ Youth Room

Every 1st Sunday of the month, the youth group, both Jr. High and High School gather for corporate worship with the rest of the church family in the Sanctuary to better connect us with the entire body and to partake in communion once a month. On the other Sundays, we gather for worship in the Sanctuary and then meet together in the youth room for a lesson that is designed with the students in mind. This year we are going through the basic tenets of faith called Discipleship Essentials, a book written by Greg Ogden.

OUR TEAM

Meet our awesome Youth Leaders!

Coming from all over the world, our team is comprised of vibrant, fun-loving and passionate people who love serving God through youth ministry. We have late teens, young adults and adults serving in many capacities from teaching, worship, discipleship and other areas that have the singular vision of helping our students grow in their relationship with Jesus!
