The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God's love in a tangible way to needy children around the world. Together with the local church worldwide, we aim to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
If you have never participated in Operation Christmas Child, it is a simple mission project that anyone can do. We prepare gifts for children, place them in a shoe box, and then they are delivered to impoverished children around the world in Jesus' name. The shoeboxes are used as evangelistic tools by missionaries and pastors. Over sixty one million children in 130 nations have received gifts since the ministry was started in 1993. We are collecting shoeboxes anytime between Nov 4th - Nov 19th. They can be dropped off in the church on Sunday morning or at the HTC office mid-week.
Another way to support the project is to help in the at the Processing Center located in Fullerton (4200 Bonita Place, Fullerton, CA 92835). Volunteers (7th grade and up) may serve on Thursday, November 29 from 6-10pm. Here, volunteers sort and prepare shoeboxes to be shipped around the globe. If you are interested in volunteering, a sign up sheet will be made available Sunday, November 4 at the Info Table.
